NZQA Micro-Credential in Methamphetamine Sampling and Screening

Cleaning Systems is now one of the few organisations able to offer a NZQA Micro-Credential in Methamphetamine Sampling and Screening.  The Micro-Credential includes the following Unit Standards:

·        30892 – Demonstrate knowledge of methamphetamine contamination of property in New Zealand (level 3, 2 credits);

·        30893 – Demonstrate knowledge of methamphetamine screening sampling in accordance with NZS 8510:2017 (level 4, 4 credits); and

·        30894 – Carry out methamphetamine screening sampling and assessment on property (level 4, 4 credits).

Although NZS 8510:2017 is a voluntary standard and has come under some scrutiny in the last 12 months, it remains the guide on best practice in relation to screening/sampling (and clean-up) of a methamphetamine contaminated property.  NZS 8510:2017 requires NZQA certification by a screening sampler, accordingly it is advisable for a screening sampler to achieve this qualification.
